Building a side tipper wagon in SM32
This wagon is the latest release from my favourite kit designer, Jerry Irwin. I really enjoy building his 16mm/ft scale kits, which he produces in laser-cut MDF with detail parts of 3D printed, UV resin.
For each kit he designs, a Youtube video is published to show all building instructions....

As can be seen in the video, every piece is superbly cut and meticulously engineered to produce a fully operational wagon, in this case, one which no other manufacturer offers.
The pieces are supplied ready cut from surrounding material, with a choice of plastic or metal wheels, ball-race axle bearings as standard and buffers too! My model is to 32mm gauge but a 45mm gauge, 'G' scale option will shortly be available.

It even comes with a sturdy template to ensure the wagon box is constructed perfectly square.
To spare those who don't have three hours to watch the video, here are some construction pictures I took along the way...

Additional rivet/bolt heads have been added inside the wagon for effect.....The finished, painted wagon on my railway for its official portrait....
